The Garden was created as a place for Witches, Wiccans, Pagans and Magicians everywhere to gather. No matter where you are or your practices, there is always a patch of grass to sit on or a tree to relax under. Here at the Green Garden, we provide a peaceful and open-minded learning environment. The complexity and number of paths out there require a safe place where all may meet in friendship, and the Green Garden aspires to be such a place where all may discuss the varying facets of faith and spiritual practice.
Harmony and acceptance of others are necessary for growth; in working together one prevents oneself from becoming stagnant. Exposure to new ideas, new people, and new places advances knowledge and learning, and it is with this in mind that we as a group open the gates of the Garden to all. This is not to say that we are all-loving and all-light; rather it is to say that we accept all aspects of the Universe, Creation, and Deity - however one views it - and examination of all aspects leads to wholeness of the self. Acknowledgement and study of other ideas is the path to fullness of self and spirit.
With paths, faiths, and spiritualities varying so greatly (even within individual groups), it is impossible to expect strangers to agree on anything; but what we can agree on is to peacefully disagree and to foster a nurturing environment. Anyone on any path should be able to come here and find the information and friends they want - the only thing that will not be found here is judgement.
This site is non-partisan. All people of all paths may meet here in peace and, it is hoped, leave knowing more than they did when they came. As there are few places where one can express beliefs and practices without worry of condemnation we hope and we strive for this to be one such sanctuary.
